Workshop Operative – Dundalk

Dundalk, Co. Louth
€15.70 per Hour
44.5 Hours per Week
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Immediate Start Available

Flexistaff Recruitment is currently seeking a Workshop Operative to join a busy and growing manufacturing operation in Dundalk.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and reliable individual looking to build a long-term career within a production and workshop environment. You will play a key role supporting production operations, preparing materials, operating equipment and ensuring products are completed to the highest standards.

The Role

As a Workshop Operative, you will be responsible for selecting and preparing materials, supporting production processes and ensuring products are accurately prepared for dispatch.

You will work closely with Workshop Supervisors and Production Managers to ensure all orders are completed efficiently while maintaining high quality and health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select materials from stores and transport them to production areas
  • Load materials into workshop machinery
  • Prepare and measure finished products
  • Assist with cutting, assembly and production processes
  • Move materials and products safely around the workshop
  • Package, label and prepare products for shipping
  • Carry out quality checks and report any faults or damage
  • Keep work areas clean, organised and safe
  • Dispose of waste materials correctly
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures
  • Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet production targets

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing or production environment is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic

Desirable Experience

  • Experience operating machinery or production equipment
  • Forklift experience or licence would be advantageous
  • Previous warehouse, workshop or manufacturing experience
