Turf Equipment Technician
Maintenance – Woking, Greater London

With 35 years of leadership in golf services in Ireland, we are now expanding into the UK and are seeking to recruit a Turf Equipment Technician based in Hertfordshire.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Workshop & Equipment Manager, we are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and professional individual to join our growing team, committed to delivering service excellence. The role involves preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs on an extensive fleet of golf course maintenance equipment, both on-site and off-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical faults in a range of golf course maintenance equipment, including diesel, electric, and petrol-powered vehicles, mowers, tractors, rollers, and other mechanical utility equipment.
- Carry out regular servicing and sharpening of mowing equipment.
- Complete job cards for all work undertaken.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, including the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work.
- Ability to maintain detailed maintenance records.
- Previous mechanical experience.
- Electro-hydraulic experience is an advantage.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Soft Skills & Competencies
- Team player: Ability to work collaboratively or independently as required.
- Strong communication skills: Comfortable liaising with colleagues and clients.
- Punctual and reliable: Excellent timekeeping and dependability.
Desirable but Not Essential
- Experience using reel and bed knife grinders.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
- Practical experience in greenkeeping and/or working with golf course equipment.
- Trailer licence.
