Trade Counter Assistant – €40,000-€43,000

Our client is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Trade Counter Assistant to join their busy team. This is a hands-on, front-of-house role where you will serve trade customers, provide product advice, and ensure the shopfloor runs smoothly.

You‘ll have strong product knowledge, confidence in dealing with trade customers, and a passion for delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serving customers at the trade counter, providing quotations, advice, and processing orders accurately.
• Assisting with stock control, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves.
• Maintaining a clean, well-presented shopfloor and trade counter area.
• Identifying sales opportunities and upselling relevant products.
• Supporting day-to-day operations to ensure customers receive a first-class experience.

What We‘re Looking For:

• At least 2 years‘ experience in a plumbing, heating, or builder‘s merchant environment.
• Strong product knowledge in plumbing and heating categories.
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional, approachable manner.
• A reliable, well-organised individual with good attention to detail.
• Competent IT skills for stock checks, pricing lookups, and basic system use.
