Plumbing Trade Counter Assistant – €35k

Our client is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Trade Counter Assistant to join their busy team. This is a hands-on, front-of-house role where you will serve trade customers, provide product advice, and ensure the shopfloor runs smoothly.

You’ll have strong product knowledge, confidence in dealing with trade customers, and a passion for delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

Serving customers at the trade counter, providing quotations, advice, and processing orders accurately.

Assisting with stock control, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves.

Maintaining a clean, well-presented shopfloor and trade counter area.

Identifying sales opportunities and upselling relevant products.

Supporting day-to-day operations to ensure customers receive a first-class experience.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in a retail hardware environment. Preferably plumbing, heating, or builder’s merchant.

Product knowledge in plumbing and heating categories preferable.

Excellent customer service skills and a professional, approachable manner.

A reliable, well-organised individual with good attention to detail.

Competent IT skills for stock checks, pricing lookups, and basic system use.

Salary of €35k depending on experience.

Full-time, permanent contract (subject to probation).
