Store Manager – Convenience Retail

Salary: €45,000 – €50,000 (DOE)

We are currently recruiting an experienced Store Manager to lead a busy convenience retail store located on North Main Street, Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated retail professional to take ownership of a well-performing, modern store with strong support and clear structures in place.

The Role:

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring high standards across customer service, team leadership, sales performance, and compliance.

• 42-hour contract per week
• Working hours: 6:00am – 3:00pm
• Working 5 days over 7, with 2 weekends off per month
• Managing and developing a team of 12 staff
• Overseeing a store with a weekly turnover of approx. €52k and strong margins
• Reporting directly to the business owner
• Driving standards in customer service, merchandising, food safety, and store presentation
• Managing stock control, margins, waste, and labour costs
• Ensuring full compliance with HACCP, health & safety, and company procedures

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in convenience retail or grocery
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Commercially focused with experience managing KPIs and margins
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Hands-on, proactive, and customer-focused approach
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and retail compliance standards

Salary & Benefits:

• €45,000 – €50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
