Job Title: Sous Chef
Location: Dalkey, County Dublin
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role:
We are looking for a talented and driven Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team at a busy and well-regarded restaurant in Dalkey. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious chef with a passion for seasonal, high-quality food and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, service, and staff supervision
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency across all sections
- Support with menu development and dish creation, contributing ideas and innovation
- Lead and motivate the kitchen brigade, ensuring efficient workflow and positive team dynamics
- Ensure all health, safety, and food hygiene standards are upheld to the highest level
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and kitchen budgets as required
- Step into the Head Chef role in their absence
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Senior CDP looking to step up
- Excellent culinary skills with a genuine passion for food
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A sound understanding of kitchen management, including ordering, cost control, and staff training
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Full flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
