Location: Baldoyle, Dublin
Salary: €40,000 – €45,000 DOE

About the Company

Our client is a well-established supplier within the construction and building materials sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and organised Senior Yard & Goods In Operative to take ownership of yard operations, stock control, and goods-in activities.

The Role

This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring all deliveries are accurately received, stock is properly managed, and the yard operates safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be accountable for maintaining high operational standards and supporting the wider team when required.

Key Responsibilities

Goods In & Stock Control

• Receive and check all deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Ensure accurate stock booking through the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Identify and escalate discrepancies immediately.
• Record and report damaged goods before acceptance.
• Maintain strict FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory accuracy.

Yard Management & Health & Safety

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard environment.
• Ensure safe storage, stacking, and movement of materials.
• Enforce housekeeping and health & safety standards at all times.
• Address unsafe practices immediately.

Daily Operations

8:30am – 3:30pm

• Goods In and delivery processing.

3:30pm – 5:00pm

• Yard organisation, stock rotation, housekeeping, and preparation for the next day.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a yard, warehouse, goods-in, or stock control role.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Experience using warehouse management systems is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Forklift licence/experience is advantageous.
