Salary 40,000 – 45,000

The Role

We are currently recruiting a Sea Freight Operations Executive on behalf of our client to join a busy Air and Ocean Freight team in Dublin. This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and experience in import and export operations.

You will play a key role in managing sea freight shipments, ensuring high service levels, compliance, and the smooth delivery of customer shipments.

Key Responsibilities

Imports

• Manage FCL and LCL import shipments into Ireland
• Process shipments using Cargowise
• Coordinate documentation and customs clearance
• Liaise with customers regarding duties and VAT payments
• Arrange transport and final delivery
• Handle invoicing and resolve account queries
• Respond to customer queries in a timely manner

Exports

• Manage bookings and confirm shipment details with clients
• Arrange transport and create shipments in Cargowise
• Coordinate export customs clearance
• Issue shipping documentation (MBL/HBL)
• Send pre-alerts to international partners
• Finalise billing and resolve account queries
• Maintain strong communication with customers throughout

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years‘ experience in sea freight (imports and exports)
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience in a fast-paced logistics or freight environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Customs clearance experience is an advantage
