About the Role

Our client is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to join their Dublin office. This is a key support role within the sales department, focused on managing a designated customer base and delivering profitable sales growth. You will play a central part in order management, customer service, and supporting external sales activity across multiple sectors.

If you come from a mechanical, hydraulics or pneumatics background, your experience will be especially valued in this technical sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage orders from entry to delivery
• Liaise with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure smooth operations
• Communicate order status and changes to customers and colleagues
• Track and report on weekly/monthly revenue forecasts
• Maintain clean and accurate ERP data (Sage, Kea, Herbst)
• Provide accurate and timely quotations, with follow-up to maximise conversion
• Support the external sales team, especially with OEM clients
• Collaborate across departments to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
• Monitor and help reduce dead and slow-moving stock
• Respond to marketing briefs and contribute to campaigns
• Demonstrate the added value of working with our client at every stage of the sales process

Requirements

• Previous experience in a sales or sales support role
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Comfortable communicating with customers and working to deadlines
• Confident with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Positive, professional, and proactive attitude
• A mechanical, hydraulics or pneumatics background is highly desirable
• Clean driving licence required
• CRM experience is a bonus
