The Role

We are currently seeking a Sales Assistant to join a busy and customer-focused team in Cork. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with customers, providing expert advice and guiding them through product selections across heating, bathroom, and tiling solutions.

You will play a key role in delivering an excellent in-store experience while contributing to sales performance and maintaining high standards across the showroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with product selection, offering knowledgeable advice on heating systems, bathroom fittings, and tiles
  • Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Drive sales and contribute to achieving store targets
  • Maintain showroom standards, ensuring displays are well-presented and up to date
  • Monitor stock levels and support inventory management
  • Process sales through POS systems and handle customer queries efficiently
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Continuously develop product knowledge to better support customers

Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail or sales (experience in heating, bathrooms, or tiles is an advantage but not essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering excellent service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills and experience using POS systems
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
