Location: Dublin Region
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Project Duration: 1 Year+ works confirmed
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Salary: 60,000 – 80,000 per annum DOE

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an Experienced Residential Civil Site Manager to join a busy residential construction project in the Dublin region. This is an immediate requirement with 1 year+ of confirmed works, offering long-term stability for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day civil works on site, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely and to programme, and maintaining high standards across quality, health & safety, and site operations.

This role would suit a hands-on Site Manager with strong residential civils experience who can confidently manage groundworks, drainage, roads, services, utilities, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily civil works on a residential construction site.
  • Coordinate groundworks, drainage, roads, footpaths, services, utilities, and external works.
  • Supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with project drawings, specifications, programme, and quality standards.
  • Monitor site progress and report regularly to senior management / contracts management.
  • Maintain strong communication with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure work areas are maintained to a high standard.
  • Assist with planning, sequencing, and coordination of upcoming works.
  • Manage site logistics, deliveries, materials, and labour requirements.
  • Identify and resolve site issues quickly to avoid delays.
  • Ensure all paperwork, records, permits, and site documentation are maintained accurately.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Civil Site Manager, Groundworks Manager, Site Manager, or similar within residential construction.
  • Strong knowledge of residential civils, including drainage, roads, services, utilities, concrete works, and external works.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements on construction sites.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to site management.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage works in line with programme requirements.
  • Valid Safe Pass.
  • Manual Handling desirable.
  • Full driving licence desirable due to site location / project requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a practical, experienced site manager with a strong background in residential civils. They will be confident managing subcontractors, keeping works moving on site, and ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.

They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment and able to take ownership of daily site activity while communicating clearly with both site teams and senior management.
