Quantity Surveyor (Intermediate/Senior)

Flexistaff Recruitment is currently recruiting an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor based in Tinahely, Co. Wicklow.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company delivering civils packages for large residential developments valued up to €12 million. The role is primarily based in Tinahely, with occasional ad hoc travel to project sites in Dublin.

The Role

The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple residential infrastructure and civils projects from tender stage through to final account.

Key responsibilities include:

• Cost planning and estimating
• Preparing tender submissions and procurement packages
• Managing subcontractor accounts and payments
• Valuations and payment applications
• Cost reporting and budget control
• Contract administration
• Managing variations and change control
• Preparing and agreeing final accounts
• Supporting project delivery teams to achieve commercial targets

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveying experience preferred
• Strong Junior Quantity Surveyors will also be considered
• Experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or residential construction projects desirable
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

• Salary: €70,000 – €90,000 depending on experience
