Flexistaff Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Pricing & Quotation Executive to join a growing freight forwarding team based in Ballyboughal, Co. Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious logistics professional with Air and Sea Freight experience to join a fast-paced and expanding operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in customer engagement, freight pricing, quotation management, and business development while benefiting from strong career progression opportunities.

The Role

As a Pricing & Quotation Executive, you will be responsible for preparing competitive freight quotations, managing customer enquiries, developing client relationships, and converting opportunities into confirmed freight bookings. The role requires a proactive and customer-focused individual who can thrive in a busy logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Freight Pricing & Quotations

• Prepare accurate and competitive Air and Sea Freight quotations.
• Provide expert advice on freight forwarding services and solutions.
• Follow up on quotations and customer enquiries to maximise conversion opportunities.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed freight bookings.
• Ensure all enquiries are handled professionally and within agreed service levels.

Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
• Act as a key point of contact for freight-related enquiries.
• Understand customer requirements and provide tailored logistics solutions.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through phone, email, and other communication channels.

Business Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Generate leads through networking, referrals, and relationship building.
• Support the growth of the customer portfolio through proactive engagement.
• Maintain accurate customer records within company systems.

Administration & Systems

• Update and maintain customer information and quotation records.
• Support customer onboarding and credit application processes.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and completed efficiently.
• Keep up to date with freight forwarding market trends and industry developments.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience within Freight Forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of Air Freight and Sea Freight operations.
• Experience preparing freight quotations and managing customer enquiries.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Experience

• Cold chain or time-sensitive freight experience.
• Pharmaceutical logistics experience.
• Knowledge of reusable temperature-controlled packaging solutions.
