We‘re currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing business within the FMCG sector, for an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This is a key role within the business, supporting both finance and operational teams with accurate reporting, commercial insights, and strong cost control. It‘s a great opportunity to get real visibility across the business and play a part in ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts
• Reconciliation of key balance sheet items (sales, VAT, prepayments, accruals etc.)
• Full ownership of balance sheet accounts, ensuring strong controls are in place
• Regular review of accounts with senior stakeholders
• Preparation of weekly KPIs and financial reporting
• Support with annual budgeting (sales and overheads)
• Assist with year-end audit and liaise with external auditors
• Work closely with Accounts Receivable to resolve queries and support cash flow
• Investigate pricing issues, deductions, and discrepancies
• Monitor stock adjustments and manage financial risk
• Support compliance requirements (GDPR and other relevant standards)
• Contribute to continuous improvement across finance processes

What We‘re Looking For

• Qualified accountant with strong academic background
• Ideally 2+ years PQE
• Experience in FMCG or a fast-paced environment is an advantage
• Strong Excel and general IT skills (PowerPoint, Teams etc.)
• Good communicator, comfortable dealing with stakeholders across the business
• Able to work on own initiative
• Team player with a hands-on approach
