Manufacturing Logistics & Stores Operative (Temporary Contract)
Location: Carrickashedge – Monaghan
Contract: Temporary (3-4 Months) with the Possibility of Extension Based on Business Needs
Hours: 40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: €14.50 – €15.50 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Manufacturing Logistics & Stores Operative to join our team on a temporary 3-4 month contract. There is potential for the role to be extended depending on business requirements and individual performance.
This position plays a key role in ensuring technical components are accurately managed, kitted, and dispatched while maintaining high standards of stock control, quality assurance, and warehouse organisation. The successful candidate will work across both digital inventory systems and physical warehouse operations and will occasionally deliver materials to customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Data Management
- Maintain accurate stock records using computerised inventory systems and Google software.
- Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical inventory data.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in data entry and stock movement records.
Order Fulfilment
- Pick, pack and kit materials to support production and manufacturing schedules.
- Prepare and organise customer and production orders for dispatch.
- Ensure all materials are correctly labelled and documented.
Logistics Operations
- Receive, inspect and process incoming deliveries.
- Safely load and unload materials and equipment.
- Operate forklift and materials handling equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
- Carry out deliveries to customer sites as required and maintain professional customer interactions.
Quality Assurance
- Perform quality control inspections on materials and completed kits.
- Complete production documentation and technical records accurately.
- Report discrepancies and help maintain quality standards.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
- Carry out basic maintenance and checks on tools and equipment.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
Housekeeping & Continuous Improvement
- Uphold high standards of workplace cleanliness and organisation.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S and Kaizen practices.
Team Support
- Assist with additional duties and cross-functional tasks as required.
- Adapt to changing priorities and support wider operational needs.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Suite or inventory management systems.
- Valid Forklift Licence (essential).
- Full Driving Licence (essential).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, diagrams and work orders in English.
- Experience using hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn within a technical manufacturing environment.
