Health and Safety Officer

Location: Drogheda & Navan (travel required)
Salary: €45,000 – €50,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute unpaid break)

We are seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join our team, working across multiple sites between Drogheda and Navan. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with all workplace safety regulations. This role will occasionally require travel for toolbox talks and site inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Assist in the development and implementation of the company‘s health & safety management systems
✅ Conduct and update risk assessments
✅ Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation for employees and contractors
✅ Provide expert advice on health and safety matters to management and staff
✅ Investigate workplace accidents and near misses
✅ Prepare monthly reports and compile safety statistics
✅ Carry out site inspections and deliver training sessions
✅ Ensure contractor safety practices are up to date and followed

What We‘re Looking For:

✔️ Minimum two years‘ experience as a Health and Safety Officer or Advisor
✔️ 3rd level qualification in health & safety (or five years of relevant experience without a qualification)
✔️ Strong knowledge of ROI health and safety legislation
✔️ Experience in risk management, hazard identification, and safety investigations
✔️ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
✔️ Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
✔️ Full driving licence and access to own transport
