Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative – Temporary & Permanent Opportunities

Location: Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin
Pay Rates: €16.00 per hour (Forklift)
Hours: Monday – Friday | 7:30am–4:00pm or 8:00am–4:30pm (7:30am start preferred)

Our client, a well-established building supplies company based in Dún Laoghaire, is seeking a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join their team on a temporary basis starting next Monday, with the potential for a longer-term opportunity.

They are also recruiting for a permanent Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent.

Key Details

• Start Date: Immediate (next Monday)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm (preferred) or 8:00am–4:30pm
• Breaks: 20 minutes in the morning and 40 minutes at lunchtime
• Pay Rates:
• €16.00 per hour – Forklift Driver (valid licence required)

Main Duties

• Operating forklifts (if licensed) to load, unload, and move building materials.
• Manual handling, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties including goods in/out, stock handling, and order picking.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Supporting the smooth daily operation of the store.

Requirements

• Valid forklift licence (for forklift driver rate).
• Previous experience in a warehouse, construction, or building materials environment preferred.
• Comfortable with physical work and manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.

Permanent Role Option

In addition to the temporary role, our client is also recruiting for a permanent Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative position on a 6-month fixed-term contract with the view to permanency.
