Forklift Driver – Day (09:00-18:00) or Early (06:00-14:30) Shift

Location: Ballyboughal – own transport essential (no local public transport).
Salary: €32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, permanent (Monday-Friday, 1‑hour unpaid lunch)

About the Role

Join a busy logistics operation as a Warehouse Operative, playing a key role in receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. You’ll help maintain an efficient, safe, and orderly warehouse that meets GDPR standards

Shift Options

1. Day Shift (09:00-18:00)

• Operate a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklift daily ( License required)
• Manage inbound/outbound goods with accurate scanning and documentation
• Load/unload trailers and prepare orders for dispatch
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols

2. Early Shift (06:00-14:30)

• Picking & packing: accurately select items using handheld scanners, securely pack goods with correct labelling and documentation
• Prepare orders for dispatch: palletise, wrap, label and stage pallets in the loading bay
• Stock audits & cycle counts: perform regular checks, report discrepancies, assist with stocktakes
• Goods in/out documentation: complete all paperwork digitally or on paper, ensure data integrity and correct invoicing
• Health & safety compliance: conduct pre-shift equipment checks, maintain clear aisles, wear PPE, follow safe handling protocols

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (VNA licence required for day shift)
• Scan and log goods using warehouse management systems
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, and order assembly
• Keep warehouse and loading areas safe and organised
• Assist with route loading and general warehouse tasks

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• VNA licence (for day shift applicants)
• Previous warehouse experience with inventory systems
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive work ethic
• Good communication skills in English
• Own transport and reliable attendance

Desirable:

• Experience with GDP standards
• Background in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems
