Field Service Engineer

Location: Nationwide (Based in Dublin)
Salary: 40,000 per annum + 10% Annual Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:30pm
Additional: Weekend work required on a rotational basis

About the Company

Our client is one of Ireland’s leading coffee and tea suppliers, with a long-established reputation for quality, innovation, and exceptional customer service. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their nationwide service team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and delivering outstanding customer service while supporting a premium range of coffee equipment across Ireland.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial coffee machines at customer sites nationwide. You will play a key role in ensuring customers receive a first-class service while maintaining the highest standards of equipment performance and coffee quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain a range of commercial coffee machines.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
  • Respond to customer breakdowns and service calls.
  • Ensure machines are operating to the highest quality standards following each visit.
  • Return equipment to the workshop for repair when required.
  • Manage daily schedules and complete service calls within agreed timeframes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support.
  • Learn and develop expertise in grinder calibration and coffee quality auditing.
  • Complete all service documentation accurately and on time.
  • Participate in weekend call-out and service cover on a rotational basis.

Requirements

Essential

  • Technical knowledge of electrical systems and fault finding.
  • Previous field service, maintenance, or engineering experience.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Basic IT skills.
  • Previous experience servicing beverage, catering, or vending equipment.
  • An interest in coffee and coffee equipment.
  • Desire to develop a long-term career within the coffee industry.
