Job Title: Duty Manager
Location: Dungarvan, Co. Waterford
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports to: General Manager / Owner

Pay: 17/18 DOE

Located in the heart of Dungarvan, our vibrant bar and restaurant is a local favourite known for great food, quality drinks, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We pride ourselves on excellent service and creating a memorable experience for our guests. Were currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Duty Manager to join our management team. Accommodation assistant provided if needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the bar and restaurant during assigned shifts.
  • Lead and motivate the front-of-house and bar teams to deliver top-tier customer service.
  • Manage bookings, walk-ins, and customer flow to ensure smooth service.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health & safety are maintained.
  • Support in stock control, ordering, and inventory checks.
  • Open and close the venue as required, including cash handling and reporting.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Uphold company policies and contribute to a positive team culture.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in a hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for hospitality.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of licensing laws and health & safety regulations.
  • Barista or cocktail experience a bonus, but not essential.
