Customs Clearance Manager
Dublin North
Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: €55,000 – €70,000 DOE
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Customs Clearance Manager to join a busy and growing logistics operation based in North Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with strong customs and team management experience to step into a key leadership role within a fast-paced operational environment. The successful candidate will oversee daily customs activities, support and develop the customs team, and ensure all import/export procedures remain fully compliant with Irish, UK and EU regulations.
Please note: Due to the location and operational requirements of the role, candidates must hold a full driving licence and have their own transport.
The Role
* Manage and oversee daily customs clearance operations
* Lead and support a high-performing customs team
* Ensure all customs procedures comply with Irish, UK and EU legislation
* Act as an escalation point for complex customs queries and issues
* Build strong relationships with customs authorities and key stakeholders
* Monitor KPIs, identify risks and drive operational improvements
* Support process improvements, system implementation and compliance updates
* Provide customs guidance and support to customers and internal teams
* Attend customer meetings where required
Team Management
* Manage staffing, holidays and team rotas
* Monitor productivity and team performance
* Identify training and development opportunities
* Support onboarding of new team members
* Work closely with HR on recruitment and performance management
* Conduct appraisals, reviews and KPI setting
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a team management role
* Strong customs clearance and compliance knowledge
* Experience within freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain environments
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Full driving licence and own transport essential
