CNC Operator / Manufacturing Technician
Athboy, Co. Meath
€17.00 – €21.00 per hour DOE
On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Operator / Manufacturing Technician to join a growing and innovative manufacturing operation based in Athboy, Co. Meath.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in precision workmanship and enjoys working within a modern manufacturing environment. The role operates on a rotating morning and evening shift pattern.
The Role
- Set up and operate CNC machinery including mills, lathes, plasma machines, routers, and tube lasers
- Load materials and ensure correct tooling and machine settings are in place before operation
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards
- Carry out routine machine maintenance checks and report faults promptly
- Maintain accurate production and traceability records
- Work closely with supervisors and production teams to achieve daily production targets
- Follow all health & safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment
Machinery & Software Used
- Press & Plasma Machines: Eriksman
- Tube Laser: Morgan Rushmore
- Software: SigmaNEST (CAD/CAM Package)
Requirements
- Previous CNC operating experience within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Experience carrying out machine setups and tooling changes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Basic computer literacy essential
- Experience using CAD/CAM software advantageous
Shift Pattern
This role operates on a rotating shift basis:
- Shift 1: 6:00am – 2:30pm
- Shift 2: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
