Checkout Operative
Location: Wexford
Hours: Vary between Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm) and Saturday (9am – 1pm)
Job Description:
- Efficiently and accurately processing customer orders at the checkout.
- Handling monetary transactions with precision.
- Effective communication with customers and fellow staff members.
- Always maintaining a professional demeanour.
- Adhering to the Wholesale Standards Programme to ensure compliance.
- Addressing customer inquiries professionally.
- Monitoring and reporting any stock or cash shortages.
- Collaborating and complying with health and safety and security requirements.
- Addressing customer service queries.
- Assisting with customer sales.
- Providing support with stock replenishment when needed.
- Fulfilling other requested duties.
Requirements: To be a suitable candidate for this position, you should:
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster customer relationships.
- Possess a solid grasp of numerical concepts.
- Exhibit excellent organizational abilities.
- Be capable of working effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Possess knowledge of the products being sold.
- Display proficiency in IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Show motivation and enthusiasm for the role.
- Pay close attention to detail.
- Be dedicated and adaptable.
Job Type: Full-time, Temp role for Summer
Salary: From €14.98 per hour
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
