Café Supervisor

Location: Kildare (Junction 14 area)
Salary: 31,500 per annum + 1,000 performance bonus

Our client is a leading Irish hospitality and retail business that operates a number of high-volume food, beverage, and convenience destinations across Ireland. Renowned for delivering exceptional customer experiences, quality food offerings, and a strong team culture, they are committed to creating welcoming environments for both customers and employees.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Café Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of one of their busy café locations.

The Role

As Café Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of daily operations. You will lead by example, supporting the management team in delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining operational standards, and driving team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Café Manager in the day-to-day running of the café
  • Lead and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and customer service standards are consistently maintained
  • Supervise shifts and coordinate staffing requirements
  • Assist with training, coaching, and development of team members
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
  • Support cash handling procedures and daily operational reporting
  • Drive a positive team culture and lead by example at all times

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience within a café, restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Passion for customer service and creating positive customer experiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and peak trading periods
