Job Title: Baker‘s Assistant
Location: Portumna, Co. Galway
Pay Rate: €14.00 – €15.00 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role
My client is looking for a motivated and reliable Baker‘s Assistant to join their busy bakery in Portumna. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment, assisting with the preparation of high-quality baked goods, and learning from experienced bakers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and baking of breads, pastries, and other products.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Help maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Support stock control and ingredient ordering.
• Follow food safety and HACCP procedures at all times.
• Assist with packaging and labelling baked goods for display and sale.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a bakery, catering, or food production environment is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work early mornings and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
