Retail Assistant Manager

Location: Galway City

Salary: €34,000 DOE

Job Overview:

FlexiStaff is delighted to be recruiting an energetic Assistant Store Manager on behalf of our client, a well-known Irish retail business, for their Galway City store. This role is ideal for an experienced retail professional looking to step up and support the Store Manager in driving performance and delivering a high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and ensuring smooth functioning.

· Lead and motivate the team to achieve sales targets and maintain excellent customer service standards.

· Assist in staff management, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and training.

· Handle key store functions such as cash management, reporting, and stock control.

· Ensure the store is well-presented with proper merchandising and stock levels.

· Help implement price changes, promotions, and other sales-driving initiatives.

· Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional manner.

· Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role is essential.

· Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

· Ability to drive sales and work in a target-driven environment.

· Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in all aspects of store operations.

· Good understanding of stock control, cash handling, and reporting.
