Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath
Salary: €35,000 – €37,000 DOE

Flexistaff Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading Irish DIY and homeware retailer in the search for an Assistant Store Manager for their Ashbourne store.

Our client has built a strong reputation for delivering excellent customer service and offering a wide range of quality DIY, homeware, and seasonal products. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an enthusiastic and driven retail professional to support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the store team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and coordinate stock replenishment.
• Ensure high standards of merchandising, presentation, and store cleanliness are maintained.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Support the implementation of company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards.
• Monitor sales performance and contribute to achieving store targets and KPIs.
• Assist with promotional activities and seasonal campaigns to drive sales.

Requirements

• Previous retail experience in a supervisory, team leader, or assistant management role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods as required.
