Flexistaff is currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable professional to join a busy and growing team in St. Margaret‘s with a well-established client. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate looking for a Monday to Friday position, with a competitive salary of €38,000-€42,000 DOE. If you have strong financial administration skills, experience managing customer accounts, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Purpose of the Role
Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are collected on time, customer queries are resolved efficiently, and cash flow is maximised while minimising bad debt risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage credit control activities for retail and independent customer accounts.
- Chase outstanding payments and reduce aged debt.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Process and allocate daily cash receipts.
- Handle customer queries, invoices, statements, and credit requests.
- Reconcile customer portals to ensure accurate payment records.
- Administer direct debit collections.
- Complete month-end and debtor reporting activities.
- Monitor account performance and escalate high-risk accounts where necessary.
- Work closely with Commercial and Finance teams to resolve payment issues.
- Report overdue accounts to the Credit Insurance Company.
- Provide support across the Accounts Receivable function and assist with additional administrative duties as required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Ensure customers pay within agreed credit terms.
- Resolve account queries promptly.
- Reduce bad debt exposure and improve cash collection.
Skills & Experience
- Previous Credit Control or Accounts Receivable experience.
- Strong cash collection and query resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and telephone manner.
- Good working knowledge of Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused with the ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ Credit Control experience preferred.
