Office Team Lead

Location: Co. Carlow
Salary: 45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday | 9:00am 5:30pm

Our client is a highly respected and fast-growing logistics operation specialising in time-critical transport solutions within the equine and bloodstock sector. Operating across Ireland, the UK, and international markets, they provide exceptional service to clients within racing, breeding, veterinary, and private equine sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and proactive Office Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy administration and operations office. This role will play a key part in ensuring the smooth coordination of office activities, supporting operational teams, maintaining excellent customer service standards, and leading a small team in a fast-paced environment.

This position would suit a strong administrator with previous supervisory or team leadership experience who can confidently manage priorities, support colleagues, and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the office team on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate office workflows and ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for office-related queries and operational support.
  • Oversee scheduling, bookings, documentation, and day-to-day office processes.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Monitor office performance and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with company procedures.
  • Support senior management with reporting, administration, and operational projects.
  • Assist with the coordination of transport schedules and resolution of operational issues.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism at all times.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and productive working environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an Office Manager, Office Team Lead, Administration Supervisor, or similar role.
  • Proven experience coordinating, supervising, or supporting a team.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong customer service focus and professional manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Experience within logistics, transport, operations, or a similar environment would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience within the equine, bloodstock, racing, breeding, or wider agricultural sector is highly desirable.
  • A positive, proactive, and hands-on approach to work.
