Experienced Checkout Staff – Clonmel

Flexistaff Recruitment is currently recruiting for Experienced Checkout Staff on behalf of a busy and well-established Cash & Carry operation in Clonmel. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous retail checkout experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced customer-focused environment and are seeking stable employment with long-term prospects.

Working Hours

Full-Time Position

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Every second Saturday: 9:00am to 1:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Operating cash registers and processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently
• Handling cash, card and other payment methods in accordance with company procedures
• Providing a friendly, professional and efficient service to all customers
• Assisting customers with product queries and directing them to the appropriate departments when required
• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional checkout area
• Balancing tills and ensuring accuracy at the beginning and end of each shift
• Identifying and reporting any pricing discrepancies or customer issues
• Supporting colleagues and assisting with general store duties during quieter periods
• Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements

Requirements

• Previous checkout/till operating experience is essential
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work accurately while handling cash and processing transactions
• Reliable, punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic
• Comfortable working in a busy retail or wholesale environment
• Ability to remain professional and courteous when dealing with customers
• Good attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Flexible approach to working hours, including participation in the Saturday rota
