Warehouse Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Location: Limerick
Pay Rate: €16.00 per hour, higher rate DOE
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Forklift Operative to join a busy warehouse operation in Limerick.

This is a hands-on role primarily based within the warehouse, involving the safe handling, storage, loading and movement of furniture, household contents and commercial goods. The successful candidate will hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence and a full driving licence, allowing them to occasionally assist the driving team with deliveries and collections when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles using forklift and manual handling techniques.
• Move, stack and store furniture, household contents and commercial goods.
• Assist with inventory control and warehouse organisation.
• Wrap, pack and prepare items for storage and transportation.
• Assist removals teams with loading and unloading vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Occasionally support drivers with deliveries and collections when required.

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• Full Clean Irish Driving Licence (Category B).
• Previous warehouse, removals or logistics experience.
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and manual handling duties.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Good administration and organisational skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
