Procurement Executive– Bathroom & Tile Industry

Location: Co. Offaly
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: Very competitive, depending on experience

The Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and growing supplier within the bathroom, tile and home improvement sector, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchaser to join their team in Co. Offaly.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with strong purchasing, procurement or merchanting experience who can effectively manage supplier relationships, stock levels and product purchasing to support the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase bathroom, tile and related products from approved suppliers.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders to ensure product availability.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Analyse purchasing trends and stock requirements to maximise profitability.
• Work closely with sales, warehouse and management teams to forecast demand.
• Resolve supplier queries and delivery issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, stock control or buying role.
• Experience within the bathroom, tile, construction, DIY, builders merchants or related industry would be a distinct advantage.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills and experience using purchasing or stock management systems.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
