Future General Manager Opportunity

Our client is seeking an ambitious and commercially focused Business Unit Manager to join their leadership team in Dublin.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a high-profile leadership position with responsibility for the performance, development and future growth of a significant healthcare services operation.

This role offers a genuine succession pathway to General Manager and is ideally suited to a driven leader who is eager to take the next step in their career and make a meaningful impact within a growing business.

The Role

You will lead the day-to-day operation of the business across Supply Chain and Logistics, Warehousing, Customer Service, Field Service Operations and Technical Support Functions.

Working closely with the General Manager, you will drive operational performance, commercial results, customer experience and organisational growth while leading key transformation and improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop multi-functional teams, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and high performance.

Drive operational excellence through improved productivity, efficiency, service delivery and customer outcomes.

Manage business performance through KPIs, budgets, forecasting and operational planning.

Identify opportunities to improve profitability, optimise resources and support long-term growth.

Lead business improvement and transformation projects, implementing scalable processes and best-practice ways of working.

Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning, organisational development and succession planning.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory, quality and governance standards.

About You

You will have at least 10 years’ experience in a senior operational leadership role and a proven track record of leading complex, multi-functional teams.

You will bring a strong background in healthcare services, medical devices, logistics, supply chain, technical services, manufacturing or a related sector.

You will have experience driving operational improvement, business transformation and performance growth, alongside strong commercial and financial acumen.

Experience managing budgets, KPIs and business performance is essential, as are exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

An MBA or postgraduate business qualification would be advantageous, as would previous P&L responsibility.
