HGV Driver – Rigid & Artic Trucks

€40,000 – €45,000 per annum + Overtime

On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting experienced HGV Drivers for a growing logistics operation based in Dublin 11. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company operating within the Irish transport and construction sectors, offering long-term career opportunities, modern vehicles, and ongoing training.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Overtime available paid at time and one-third

The Role

• Carry out deliveries and collections Nationwide
• Operate rigid and artic trucks in line with company and road safety standards
• Safely load and unload vehicles when required
• Ensure all PODs are completed accurately and returned correctly
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects promptly
• Maintain regular communication with the Transport Office throughout the working day
• Ensure all tachograph and CPC regulations are adhered to at all times
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation standards
• Follow all load security and health & safety procedures
• Report incidents, accidents, or operational issues immediately
• Participate in ongoing company training and development

Requirements

• Full clean Irish or European driving licence relevant to the vehicle category
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience preferred
• Good geographical knowledge of Dublin and nationwide routes
• Strong understanding of road transport and health & safety regulations
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude with flexibility and strong problem-solving skills

Desirable

• Lorry Mounted Crane (Hiab) certification and experience advantageous
• Manual Handling and Safe Pass certifications beneficial
