We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Mechanic looking to work in a well-established and busy workshop environment with a strong focus on quality and safety.

The successful HGV Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance to reduce vehicle downtime
• Inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet safety and compliance standards
• Preparing vehicles for CVRT testing and ensuring all requirements are met
• Completing repair documentation and service reports accurately
• Working closely with the workshop team to maintain efficient operations
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Previous experience working as an HGV Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Technician
• Strong knowledge of heavy goods vehicle systems and diagnostics
• Ability to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
• Experience preparing vehicles for CVRT testing
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant mechanical qualification is desirable
