About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join a well-established kitchen team in the scenic town of Dungarvan. This is a great opportunity for a talented chef to develop their skills in a fast-paced and professional environment. As Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Head Chef, overseeing daily operations, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen
• Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard
• Lead, supervise and develop junior kitchen team members
• Maintain strict food hygiene, health and safety standards
• Oversee stock control and inventory management
• Participate in menu development, using seasonal ingredients and modern trends

• Permanent position with flexible shifts (Wednesday to Sunday, up to 10 hours per day)

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in a Sous Chef role or similar in a busy kitchen
• Skilled in cooking, food presentation, and quality control
• Capable of leading and motivating a kitchen team
• Well-organised, with excellent communication skills
• Flexible with availability to work evenings and weekends
• Passionate about producing exceptional food and delivering great service
