Job Title: Trainee Manager
Location: Cork City
Hours: 42 hours per week (Shifts between 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
Shifts: 5 out of 7 days
Salary: €32,000 – €33,000 (Dependent on experience)
Reporting to: Assistant Manager and Store Manager
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Manager to join our team in Cork City. This hands-on role is ideal for someone keen to build a long-term career in retail management. You will support day-to-day store operations while developing key leadership and business skills under the guidance of senior managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with store opening and closing procedures
• Replenish stock and manage store orders
• Monitor and reduce stock waste
• Handle cash and ensure till accuracy
• Supervise and support team members during shifts
• Participate in management meetings
• Work towards achieving key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Support with HR tasks such as rota scheduling and staff communication
• Assist in managing the store’s social media and marketing efforts
• Develop and apply best practices in:
• Communication
• Time management
• Team leadership

• Flexible availability for rotating early and late shifts
• Positive and energetic personality
• Retail or customer-facing experience is a bonus but not essential
• Degree in business or management is advantageous, but not required
