Retail Customer Service Assistant

Location: Swords

Hourly Rate: €13 per hour (starting rate with potential for growth)

Flexistaff is currently recruiting for the role of Retail Customer Service Assistant on behalf of our client. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join a dynamic team, providing exceptional customer service and expertise in paint and colour products, while driving sales and supporting store management.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver outstanding customer service to every customer, ensuring a positive experience at all times.

· Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.

· Build strong customer relationships by understanding and responding to customer needs.

· Provide accurate product knowledge and expert advice on paint and colour selection.

· Actively promote the colour consultancy service, offering guidance on colour suitability.

· Maintain a clean and organised store, ensuring paint displays and product areas are neat and tidy.

· Assist with merchandising and store presentation, ensuring high standards are upheld.

· Support store targets through proactive selling and suggestive selling techniques.

· Keep up-to-date with all promotions, products, and services through ongoing training.

· Participate in stock management, ensuring timely replenishment of shop floor products.

· Assist in training and development of team members.

· Ensure health and safety standards are maintained, including compliance with relevant ISO standards.

· Handle transactions accurately, including cash and credit, as well as processing refunds.

Skills and Experience:

· Experience in retail sales is required.

· Ability to provide exceptional customer service at all times.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.

· A willingness to learn about paint products and colour.

· Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a high-performance sales team.

· Knowledge of paint, wallpaper, or fabrics is an advantage but not essential.
