About the Role

On behalf of our client, a long-established and respected logistics and freight forwarding company based in Dublin, we are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Driver to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and reliable driver looking to join a stable business with a strong reputation in the transport and logistics sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of freight throughout Dublin and surrounding areas, with a particular focus on airport-related logistics.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• Standard Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm
• Regular overtime available due to operational requirements
• Overtime paid in accordance with company policy

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily freight collections and deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Complete collections and deliveries to and from Dublin Airport.
• Transport cargo to and from customer locations across Dublin and surrounding areas.
• Ensure all transport and delivery documentation is completed accurately.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Secure loads safely and ensure compliance with all road transport legislation.
• Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when required.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Licence (relevant category).
• Current Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of the Dublin road network and surrounding areas.
• Strong understanding of road transport legislation and safety requirements.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours and overtime.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Previous freight forwarding, logistics, or airport freight experience would be advantageous.
