Assistant Manager

Location: North Dublin

Salary: €37k DOE

Flexistaff Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client, a leading convenience retail business based in North Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail professional to take the next step in their career.

Candidates must have their own transport and a full driving license.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.

· Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.

· Manage staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.

· Assist with stock control, inventory management, and stock ordering to minimise waste and maximise profitability.

· Oversee merchandising and store presentation to ensure high standards are consistently maintained.

· Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.

· Monitor and report on key performance indicators, helping to implement strategies to achieve store goals.

· Provide training and coaching to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

· Step into the Store Manager’s role when they are unavailable.

Skills and Experience Required:

· Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a retail environment is essential.

· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

· Proven ability to meet targets and drive store performance.

· Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is an advantage.

· Must have a full driving license and access to own transport.
